As I wrote this column, I am taken back by how fast things have gone since May 1,t with the launch of our new Ontario Construction News daily digital newspaper, and how fast the growth has been.
It has been nice to connect with clients who I have worked with on our regular monthly construction magazines who have started using us for their CSP ads. I have also enjoyed the countless phone calls and email questions from new customers who want to
- Make sure this is legal;
- IS the price really just $249; and
- You can publish and provide certificate of publication within three business days?
My answer to all three is yes. For the remaining skeptics, I say try it out and see for yourself. So far I have converted 100 per cent of the skeptics.
I will be attending the Niagara Construction Association Membership Appreciation Day BBQ Sept. 26 at Club Roma in St. Catharines. We have purchased a new 30-inch television to use at this event as a dry run for The Buildings Show in Toronto in late November. I have experimented with video creation showing the ease of use of the Ontario Construction News website and daily digital newspaper. The video also includes a quick review of Databid, our construction data partner, with their offer to our readers along with offers from Procore. a new advertiser which has started running this month in the daily edition.
I will be testing connection to my cell phone as a Hot Spot for live demonstrations, loop the videos I created on my laptop and develop a power point presentation. I will also experiment with capturing some videos showcasing construction bloopers and disasters for display as well.
