Wood Research and Development Canada will be presenting a course: Advanced Timber Bridge Maintenance, Restoration and Inspection Practices (Level 1 Certification Course) in Toronto on May 10 and 11.
The program is hosted by Timber Restoration Services Canada in conjunction with Ontario Wood WORKS!
The program will be relevant to bridge maintenance workers,inspectors, engineers and asset managers, the organizers say. Participants will gain “understanding of advanced timber bridge non-destructive testing techniques; the knowledge of timber bridge maintenance to extend longevity and reduce maintenance costs; and certification as a Timber Bridge Intermediate Maintenance Restoration and Inspection Technician.
The fee is $1,000 plus HST.
