Toronto issues $1.13 billion in building permits in January

The City of Toronto issued $1,126,928,871 in building permits in January, according to data released by the city. The permits were issued for a total of 3,332 projects.

The value of issued permits declined from the $1,875,060,384 issued in December, 2024.

$173,753,000 – 571 Dundas St. W.

City records indicate two permits at this address, each for $86,876,500 for an affordable apartment complex. One permit is for 188 units and the other is for 103 units.

Urban Toronto reports the Alexandra Park Revitalization is for 14 and 15-storey mixed-use affordable rental and market-rate condominium buildings designed by CS&P Architects and SvN for Tridel and Toronto Community Housing Corporation on the southeast corner of Dundas Street West and Denison Avenue in the Alexandra Park neighbourhood.

$74,300,000 – 2839 Jane St.

CTN Developments is building this 13-storey condo/retail structure with 190 units on Jane Street just north of Sheppard. AAA Architects Inc. has designed the building, named Yorkwoods.

$66,000,000  — 315 Spadina Ave.

This is a 14-storey mixed use rental building (with 249 units) designed  by Montgomery Sisam Architects for Podium Developments on the northeast corner of Spadina Avenue and D’Arcy Street, in Chinatown.
