Toronto recorded building permits valued at $1,455,886,732 in August, an increase from $921,497,979 million in July.
Here are the five largest August permits:
$595,875,683 – 141 Bay St.
This permit is for the CIBC Square Project. EllisDon is building the 50-storey structure for Hines and Ivanhoé Cambridge. A promotional website for the project says: “In pursuit of WELL Platinum certification, 141 Bay Street considers its community’s well-being when designing each feature. 141 Bay Street at CIBC SQUARE will set the highest standards for sustainability, wellness, transportation, and accessibility to transform the quality of life for our community members.”
$150 million – 15 Cordova Ave.
This 27-storey structure is one of two Westerly Condos towers in Etobicoke.
Urban Toronto reports that the towers (the other one is 20-storeys high) are being developed by Tridel and Hollyburn Properties north of the Islington station on Bloor Line 2.
$69 million – 89 Niagara St.
This 14-storey structure is also part of a two-tower residential project, in Toronto’s Niagara district. Architects Core Architects and Bernard Watt Architect have designed the structures for Aspen Ridge Homes.
$65 million – 165 Elm Ridge Dr.
This is a 20-storey rental building for supportive housing developer Reena. Richmond Architects has designed the structure, one of two on the site.
$65 million – 109 Erskine Ave.
This 211-unit, 22-storey residential structure has been designed by RAWDesign for Curated Properties on the southwest corner of Erskine Avenue and Redpath Avenue in the Sherwood Park neighbourhood, Urban Toronto reports.
