Guidelines for designing wood-frame mid-rise buildings: A full-day program

FPInnovations and Ontario WoodWORKS will present the chapters of the new FPInnovations handbook based on the National Building Code of Canada at a full-day program in Vaughan.

Topics to be discussed include fire, structural analysis, floor vibration, building movement, sound insulation, building enclosure, wood elevator shafts and prefabrication. The day will conclude with a review of some mid-rise case studies from BC and a discussion of mid-rise in Ontario.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Universal EventSpace, 6250 HWY 7.

The registration fee is $350 + HST and includes breakfast, lunch, and a copy of the new Mid-Rise Wood-Frame Construction Handbook. Participation certificates for Continuing Education Hours will be issued for this event.
