The Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) is encouraging sponsorships and ticket sales for its 12th annual golf tournament on Sept. 21.
“Come out for a fun and enjoyable day of golf, networking, cuisine and prizes,” says the event invitation. “Meet people from large corporations along with smaller businesses whose services contribute significantly to the construction industry and all actively support the employment of women in construction related fields. Learn what CAWIC stands for and how rewarding it is to be a part of this passionate organization.”
The CAWIC announcement says the Annual Golf Day “is pivotal in continuing the success of CAWIC’s bursary program,” which supports women who demonstrate a financial need and a passion for entering the construction industry.
