The Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC)’s Habitat for Humanity 2017 Women Build has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Pinery Trail Build Site in Scarborough.
The event, the ninth for CAWIC, “harnesses the power of women to help build homes for hardworking, low-income families,” the group says. “Through exclusive women-only build days, Women Build empowers women to take on non-traditional roles, give back to their community, learn new skills, and to have fun while raising awareness for affordable homeownership. Since 2009, the annual Women Build events have raised over $3 million for our local home building projects.”
