Station House Toronto, Hazelview Investments Inc.’s purpose-built rental community in the city’s west end, has achieved Rainbow Registered accreditation. The national designation from the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce recognizes organizations that create welcoming spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
The accreditation reflects Hazelview’s commitment to properties “where residents, employees, and visitors feel safe, respected, and proud to belong,” the global real estate development and property management firm said in a statement.
Station House Toronto is Hazelview’s ninth residential rental community to achieve Rainbow Registered accreditation. Including its residential properties and corporate offices, Hazelview has achieved the accreditation at 11 locations across Canada.
Hazelview in 2025 opened Canada’s first Rainbow Registered residential rental building, Midtown Toronto at 73/75 Broadway Ave.
Rainbow Registered accreditation follows an independent assessment of an organization’s policies, training, leadership commitment, and organizational culture. The accreditation program grants a time-limited recognition of the organization’s demonstrated readiness to serve 2SLGBTQI+ customers.
Hazelview said the accreditation acknowledges the Toronto-based company’s “ongoing efforts to foster inclusive communities through comprehensive employee training, inclusive policies and procedures, leadership accountability, and engagement with residents, community organizations, and local stakeholders.”
Launched in February, Station House is part of the larger Bloor Crossing development at the corner of Dufferin St. and Bloor Street West that includes more than 2,000 rental homes by Hazelview and Toronto-based rental property developer Fitzrovia Real Estate Inc.
The Bloor Crossing master plan includes a new City of Toronto 3,580-square-metre park on Croatia St., and a pedestrian-focused Assembly Lane lined with retail and landscaping.
Station House is composed of two phases both designed by architectural firm Turner Fleischer, with interior design for Station I by Diamond Schmitt, interior design for Station II by Mason Studio, and landscape design by Studio TLA.
Station I is a 12-storey mid-rise on Bloor with 284 rental suites and move-in scheduled for the fourth quarter. Station II to the south of the site includes two towers rising 34 and 38 storeys totalling 856 rental units with occupancy beginning this summer.
