The Tall Wood Symposium has been scheduled for March 28 in Woodbridge.
WoodWORKS! Ontario says “this high-profile event, dedicated exclusively to tall wood construction, will be the best opportunity this year for Ontario’s design and construction professionals to learn about building taller wood buildings.”
Speakers include Michael Green, a fellow of the RAIC and “a world leader in tall wood design. His firm is vested in helping build healthier communities through architecture, interiors, landscape, and urban design. Michael is well known for his research, leadership and advocacy in promoting the use of wood in the built environment.”
Karla Fraser, senior project manager, Urban One, will give a comprehensive overview of the construction of the the tallest wood building in the world, the18-storey Brock Commons residence at the University of B.C., built with CLT.
