Werner Weins, president of Wiens Underground Electric Ltd. in Niagara On The Lake and a member of the Niagara Construction Association’s (NCA) Board of Directors for more than three decades, has died.
NCA general manager Karen Sheldrick said he died suddenly from a heart attack on Tuesday.
The family spent a Canada Day holiday together (Monday), boating and enjoying each other’s company with no indication of any ill health,” Sheldrick wrote. “Werner has served on the NCA Board for over 35 years. It truly is a tremendous loss for our association and industry. We lost a dear friend.
The funeral has been scheduled for today.
