The countdown is on for the EQ Housing Innovation Forum and Awards on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Universal EventSpace in Vaughan. It promises to be an exciting day of networking, learning and inspiration, followed by an evening of good food, entertainment and recognition of the industry’s leaders.

Within the theme “New – Now – Next”, leading builders and innovators will discuss the next generation of energy-efficient homes, Shannon Bertuzzi, EnerQuality’s vice-president of market development, said in an announcement. “Our trailblazers will examine the challenges, innovations and momentum our industry is experiencing!”

Panels will focus on the future of home building, including new developments in urban and suburban contexts, what the Climate Change Action Plan will mean for the building industry and new systems in performance-based architecture.

And of course, there’s the return of the popular Innovation Gauntlet, a “Dragon’s Den”-style pitch session for advanced building performance solutions.

The deadline for Early Bird ticketing is Jan. 20, the same deadline for award nominations for the EnerQuality Awards, including the Builder Achievement Award, ENERGY STAR for New Homes Builder of the Year and Evaluator of the Year.
