York University, with provincial and federal funding, is completing three projects with an estimated $113 million value.
The university is modernizing four major science buildings at the Keele and Glendon campuses, replacing turbines and boilers, and building an addition to the Schulich School of Business. Site work and demolition has already started.
The provincial government issued a news release in early February saying it is supporting this work with $6.6 million in funds, but the majority of the projects’ costs are covered by the university itself ($65 million) and nearly $41 million from the federal government’s Strategic Investment Fund.
The general contractor the Schulich School of Business project is EllisDon and the architect Baird Sampson Neuert.
