MILTON, ONTARIO – April 21st, 2013. ROXUL Inc. announced its’ plans to build a new North American
headquarters located on Esquesing Line in Milton, Ontario. The new 25,000 square foot head office will house
approximately 100 employees from ROXUL and its’ sister companies.
“ROXUL Inc., has been part of the Milton community for 25 years, and we are thrilled to be constructing our
own head office after leasing space since the expansion of our Milton factory in 2007.” ROXUL President,
Trent Ogilvie.
“ROXUL’s stone wool insulation products reduce energy use and minimize the impacts of climate change. As a
global leader in energy efficient building solutions, ensuring that our new North American headquarters is an
example of environmental excellence, and demonstrating what can be achieved in building construction is of
paramount importance to us” continued Ogilvie.
The building is a design/build project by Stahle Construction, and will be among the lowest energy use buildings
in Canada and will meet LEED Gold Standards. ROXUL’s Energy Design Centre has been involved in the
building envelope design, and will be built to approximately 35% over typical energy model codes, resulting in
significant energy savings. The new building will go beyond just exceeding building code and will include
environmental design details such as motioned sensor lights, and HVAC systems, drought resistant landscaping,
rain water harvesting, and grey water reuse.
Construction of the facility is expected to begin in Spring 2014 with occupancy scheduled for December 2014.
