Mountainview Homes wins NHBA Builder of the Year Award


Mountainview Homes has received the inaugural Niagara Home Builders’ Association (NHBA) Builder of the Year Award for 2013.

The Thorold-based family business was established by Nick Basciano and brothers-in-law Lou and FrankMemme in1979. By the late 1980s, the company had grown to be one of Niagara’slargest home builders.

Nicole Kennedy, marketing and décor manager for Mountainview, said industry involvement has always been important. “It’s important to us to know what is happeningand have a say,” she said. “That knowledge helps us andthat help our homeowners as well.”


Mountainview encourages all homebuyers to build ‘green’with EnergyStar options because of the high energy-savingreturn for the modest investment.The Builder of the Year award is based partially on customerfeedback scores. Kennedy said.
