Locksley Ltd. has been providing security systems for projects ranging from single-family residential to apartment properties and from commercial to warehouse spaces for a decade.
Owner Locksley Stewart says he initially worked as a sub-contractor to security contractors. Over time, he developed the experience and the contacts to grow the business and become a key project partner. Now he works directly with property owners, general contractors and property managers throughout the GTA and Hamilton areas to ensure their security needs are met.
“Sometimes people know what they want to achieve but don’t know quite how to implement the vision, or they may have one system in mind and want it to work with other security services and don’t know which equipment will work best.”
Locksley works with brand name manufacturers including Axis Communications, Mobotix, Pelco and Sony to provide the best product combinations. He has created smart systems for homeowners, warehouses, auto body shops and car dealers, with alarms and camera monitoring.
The company has also worked for large retail chains such as Giant Tiger and Le Chateau.
Understanding that the ideal time to get involved with a project is early on, Locksley recently signed on as a DataBid client. Through DataBid’s search capacity, the company will be able to identify projects early on that may require his services, and then he can join as a project partner to support the security design. Stewart says this saves owners time and money over installing a system once construction is too far gone.
“We want to work with our clients from start to finish,” he said. “In the beginning ensuring their systems meet both security requirements and budget, ensuring the installation is done right the first time, and then following up with service and trouble-shooting for the life of the equipment.”
