CRI Mission 2030 zero waste initiative launch and workshop
The Construction Resource Initiatives Council (CRI Council) has scheduled a launch event and workshop to change how the industry views and deals with building waste.
The program includes “dynamic workshops and open discussions” on topics such as change strategy, communications, integration and education, tools and support, and research and education, said founding president Renee Gratton.
The CRI Council believes the event will help the industry adapt the “guiding principles that will help us change” with minimal trade-offs and maximum synergies.
The program will include discussions of “pragmatic actions that can be taken by the following leading organizations” including Brookfield Lepage Johnson Controls, PCL Constructors Canada, Ryerson University, Solid Waste Association of North America, Canadian Prestressed/Precast Concrete Institute and the United Nations Environment Programme – sustainable building climate initiatives.
