A multi-structure development in North York at Leslie Street and Sheppard Ave. E. that has been in planning stages for about a decade is finally taking shape, with the initial site-work and opening of a sales office.

Toronto City Council approved Amexon Development Corp.’s Draft Plan of Subdivision on March 9.  An Urban Toronto comment, based on council’s agenda, observed that “they’ve had zoning approval since 2013.”

The recently approved subdivision plan splits “the site into a public street, two development blocks, and (carves) off four open space blocks that will be added to the adjacent Don Valley ravine parklands.”

Promoters describe the project as “a nature-inspired, 12-acre, master-planned community that is a nexus between the urban and natural worlds.”

There will be five residential condo towers, a three acre-urban park and 320,000 sq. ft. of office space.

CORE Architects is designing the complex with  interior design support from II By IV Design and landscape architects Cosburn Nauboris.
