A conference on “Agritecture”, focusing on the integration of food production in the urban environment has been scheduled for Toronto on June 1 and 2, by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC).
“With severe droughts in California, and over $2.5 billion in food imports alone into Ontario from that region, there are huge opportunities to grow more food in cities, on buildings and in our region,” the Grey to Green Conference announcement says.
Keynote speakers are Roger Schickedantz, principal, William + McDonough Associates, and Eric Corey Freed, vice-president, International Living Future Institute.
There is a $50 discount for registrations before May 1.
