Learning forum topics at CMPX 2014

With a comprehensive agenda of topics, evenly divided between sessions and speakers arranged by the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) and the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), attendees of CMPX 2014 can choose from more than 20 different Learning Forum opportunities.

CMPX 2014, the Canadian Mechanical & Plumbing Exposition takes place Wednesday, March 19 through to Friday, March 21, 2014 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, North Building, 255 Front St. W.

The full schedule of Learning Forum sessions from both HRAI and CIPH is posted on the http://cmpxshow.com website. There will be more than 20 different sessions starting on Wednesday March 19th at 10:30am and continuing through to Friday, March 21st ending by 1:00pm to give attendees plenty of time to also view the show floor.

First. there are special morning sessions featuring John Siegenthaler on Wednesday and Thursday opening with 7:30 a.m. continental breakfast followed by a workshop from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The Wednesday workshop is Unique Hydronic Details for Domestic Water Heating and the Thursday workshop is Piping and Control Strategies for High Performance Wood-Fired Heating Systems. Each workshop is $60 including taxes.

The main Learning Forum Seminars are all free – included in the show registration along with the free Harbourfront parking and shuttle. The Learning Forum agenda is:

The completely redesigned CMPX 2014 website is now viewable on a far wider range of computers and mobile devices and all the Workshops and all Learning Forum sessions are listed along with significant detail and a complete listing of speakers.

“We believe that the Learning Forum delivers outstanding benefits to the industry,” said HRAI president Warren Heeley. “The new CMPX 2014 website is the communications hub – the convenient source for all show information, for both visitors and exhibitors, any of whom can join the Learning Forum sessions of their choice. This is one show that delivers the entire industry. CMPX 2014 will have thousands of products for heating (forced air and hydronics) air conditioning, ventilation, hearth, plumbing, piping, refrigeration and emerging technologies. It’s a ‘must attend’ for everyone in the mechanicals and plumbing industries.”

Ralph Suppa, president and general manager of CIPH, the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating, emphasized the value of the Learning Forum sessions that will be held during CMPX 2014. “Professionals from all walks of the mechanicals and plumbing industries will find Learning Forum topics on the agenda that can offer a beneficial increase in their skill and knowledge base,” he said. “We have an all-new day pattern for CMPX 2014 to make attendance more convenient. The show will be held weekdays starting at 10am Wednesday March 19th and concluding at 4pm on Friday March 21, 2014. Twenty different Learning Forum sessions are scheduled in such a way that attendees will be left plenty of time to explore the show floor where a record-breaking range of exhibits are anticipated.”

Previous attendees will soon receive their Registration Brochure in the mail, listing all the Workshops and Learning Forum session detail. Fill in the form, choose the sessions that are most beneficial to you and mail the form back or use the Online Registration on the CMPX 2014 website.
